Eat only vegetables forever & you will live to a ripe old age. Eat only meats forever & you will become ill & die young. FACT. I'm not sure anyone here was advocating eating nothing but meat.
And the veggie lasagne recipe please?

Not even so they could try it and see how nice it is? I promise not to start selling it commercially. And if I were to cook it I wouldn't claim it as my own.

Wow unless you're writing a book or something seems odd that you would not want to share something that other people can enjoy and possibly improve upon.
Anyway Smee I'll dig out me mums recipie if you want, unlike Pauls with only years of of work this is generations.
I am not claiming it is going to be the best in the world but I have never had any complaints easy to mod for meat, or quorn etc too. Will try and post it tonight if not them tomorrow.
Cheers RV, I'd like that.
To be honest I've lost interest in this now, I was genuinely interested in trying the veggie lasagne to see if what Paull said was true but if he is going to be precious about it I'll just wander off now.
I'll come back for your recipe though rvshah, cheers.

Just put my lamb shanks in the fridge tonight marinating... still have no idea what to do for the vege but I think if the lamb shanks are coming with creamy mustard mash and spring veg then she can have these too, I'll just need to think of what to do for her main aspect of the dish!
Ps. This is test run I'm doing for the family to make sure I can time everything properly etc... it's not the actual CDWM event with my mates!
Also, haven't even thought about a desert! I love cheese cake but think its a bit hit and miss with some people so was thinking maybe keep it simple and british with apple crumble/pie...
P.p.s. A girl at work was saying that she had mock duck once and it was amazing, even went as far as to say it was better than real duck. Her opinion went down a bit with that last statement but still... big statement!

Mock duck is nice but it is better with asian dishes. I'm surprised you haven't found out the Vegies likes, that would make it easier. If you go down the mock duck route you can fry it with some onions until the onions go golden brown, add spices if you wish, You can also use Quorn roast. Quorn chunks fried in olive oil until golden tase a little like pork. There is also nut roast, if they like that. All these will go with the creamy mustard mash and spring veg nicely. A linda McArtney pie would also do. Find out her likes & I'll give you simple ideas to help you.
Stuffed pepper is a simple easy option. You can fill with rice, vegy mince, pulses, whatever then just bake in the oven. Look up some Stuffed pepper recipes on the net.
