Thats not self centered, it happens to be the truth.
I am a vegetarian. I am a good cook. I have given many vegetarian meals to people of all nationalities & none haveknown the difference.
@ Paull: I'm a meat eater but don't have to have meat in every meal and enjoy many non-meat meals but I can still tell the difference between meals containing meat and those that don't
Beliveve it or not, you really would not know if I cooked you a vegetarian meal.
Anyhow I'm not going into long pointless arguments over vegetarian food. If the OP wants any help on the vegetarian meal I will help. When the OP knows what meat meal he is having, there are usually many vegy alternatives that can easily be cooked & the recipe's found by Googling.

Yeah yeah, so you say.
All part of your 'crusade' to convert folk to vegetarianism.
We've been through this so many times Paull.
You sneakily serving people vegetarian meals when they've ordered meat.
Then rubbing your hands with glee when they enjoy it and considering them 'converted'.
All very childish.
Personally, were I paying for said meals, I'd report you to trading standards.

Wow you really are a prat. I've never ever done that. No one has 'ordered' a meal from me.
If this is any help if I were to do a meat Lasagne & a vegy one I would do it this way.
Cook the White sauce. Meat & veggy the same.
Lasagne pieces. Meat & veggy the same.
Tomato meat sauce. Large pan for say 5.
Tomato Veggy sauce with either meat like, or mushrooms, pulses, whatever in a small pan.
As you layer the large meat lasagna in a large dish, just layer the vegy on in a single dish at the same time. It is so easy.
In our house we have to cater for all sorts, some eat meat, some are muslim & won't eat Pork, some eat fish. Over the years we have learnt to cook meals that all will like with very little extra work.

Believe it or not, I would know if you had cooked a vegetarian meal or not.
I'm sure they are delicious but, yes, I would be able to tell the difference.
Maybe you could post one of your "I can't believe it's not blubber" recipes so we can give them a go, please?

Could someone please
Remove these cutleries
From my knees...

Please, you were doing so well. No one in over 20 years has even come close to thinking a veggy meal I did for them was veggy. If it's cooked properly, no one would tell. I would happily cook a veggy meal for anyone but if you knew in advance it would be pointless. Any meals I cook bare no resemblance to some of the rubbish you get in supermarket that even I would not eat.

Let's go over the famous incident, shall we?
I recall some builders staying at your B+B, or visiting it for a meal.
They ordered some Lasagne.
It wasn;t pointed out to them it was veggie, they were expecting meat.
You gave them vegetarian lasagne, sneakily.
You then got all excited when they 'didn't notice' and said something along the lines of it being the best they'd ever tasted blablabla.
Can you point out where I've got that wrong?
