... not literally!
Going to start doing this with a few friends soon so need some ideas on simple meals I can make. Just to complicate things one person going is a bloody vegetarian so I'll need to produce a seperate meal for her as everyone else going loves their meat so meat free meal is a no no!
I'm rubbish at cooking and this is going to be a bit of a mission for me. Ideally I'd like dishes that can be prepared in advance to a level and then require little effort during the meal itself...
I've got as far as the starter which is Grilled Portobello Mushroom with Goats Cheese - sounds easy even for me!
So, all you Delia's and Jamie's out there... give me your best!
I'd get the vegetarian a microwave meal.
Seriously, I would.
F*** seperate cooking for f***ing vegetarians, I can't be bothered with them.
Then again, maybe she won't have the energy to come.
I couldn't of wrote that better myself. I don't trust Vegetarians or Teetotalers and if you're both, don't even bother speaking to me as we have nothing in common! ![]()

As a vegetarian & bloody good cook I could do the above & no one would know the difference, that includes all the (to come) below comments as well. When asked 'what food do you like' our latest Columbian student said meat. Well he's had Fish, Beef, Chicken but the 2 meals he said he loved were both vegetarian.
Meals to prepare before could be Lasagna, Mousaka.
This meal is fantastic. It was taught to us by an Italian student & is a favourite of all the nationals we have now. Here is one recipe. If you don't do it this time try it another time.
bowfer. you are just a self centered prat.
When you prepare the meal just give her the side dishes that you have done for everyone else and the leave the meat off her plate ![]()
I've often had discussions about what i'd do for CDWM if I were on it.
Goats Cheese and caramelised onion tartlets (with rocket and pesto on side)
Beef Wellington or Rack of lamb.
Angel delight.
If you don't mind spending a bit of money and you really can't be arsed then go to M&S and get some of their stuff.
I did a meal the other month when I really couldn't be arsed and did:
Covent Garden Risotto (Mushroom and Parmesen)
Rack of Lamb with pesto and pine nuts
Chocolate melty puds with ice cream
Just look up how to make them incase you get asked.
My friends are still going on about how awesome my risotto was months later!
Gav
I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had.

No, Paull, I think you'll find in this scenario the vegetarian would be the self-centered prat.
F*** them, microwave cannelloni for them.
If they're lucky, I might even tip it out onto a plate.
If I like them, I might buy 'taste the difference' too.

Who's the "self-centred prat" again, Paull?
@ Paull: I'm a meat eater but don't have to have meat in every meal and enjoy many non-meat meals but I can still tell the difference between meals containing meat and those that don't.
(There's more "meat" in that sentence than your average Tesco sausage!)
