Why do dog owners think it`s o.k to let their dogs crap all over the footpath???

I don't know if it's just me but this problem seems to be getting worse and worse.

I have to watch my 6 year olds every move on her scooter so she doesn't go through any.

Does anyone know anybody that has ever been fined for this?? I certainly don't and the way it looks around here people obviously don't worry about getting a fine.

Totally disgusting and unnecessary. Angry

I sympathise, as a dog owner who cleans up anything that can get stood in, you'd be amazed how many times I tread in dog mess going to pick up her dog mess. Confused

Never heard of anyone being fined. They even had signs in our local park for the last few years saying "Maximum Fine £1000" which made no difference at all.

As a dog owner I must say that your statement is not entirely correct as I pick it up 99% of the time and the only time haven't is when he had diarhoea and there was no way to pick it up at all. Therefore it's not ALL dog owners.
I do sympathize though as I pick it up with paranoia that the rozzers are around the corner waiting to catch me out but amazed at how much from other dogs is around. I too have never heard of anyone being prosecuted for this despite the myriad of warnings about the place. Empty threats I suppose.

I didn't say 'all' bezza... Happy

Oh, and while we are on the subject, why do 'some' dog owners also think it's o.k to leave their dogs outside barking like mad at 1.00am?? Surely they can hear it too because I can from half a mile away!

Don't get me wrong, I am a real animal lover but this lack of consideration for others really winds me up.

Both my wife and daughter have dogs. Our council supplies bags for lifting the mess and bins to deposit the stuff in. There are a lot of dog owners who clean up the mess and then throw the bags away or hang them on bushes. Lazy bastards.
My wife and daughter wear green armbands to show that they are responsible dog owners.

I think it's usually cleaned up before it gets to that stage.

I've seen dog poo that's been not picked up for ages, it goes mouldy long before it goes white!

Maybe it is a diet thing.

after I went to bed I remembered the real reason, I think it was on QI a while ago!
Anyway it's to do with what's used in dog food now, or rather what's not used. Less bones, so less calcium.
