Baby on board stickers

I wish baby on board, mums to be and similar stickers would be banned from being displayed on car windows. Usually the cars displaying these stickers are driven by the worst drivers on the road and, anyhow, why should it be of interest to other road users who's in those cars?

On second thoughts maybe these stickers do serve a usefulness by informing other road users that the car is being driven by a moron!

As said by marksparks elsewhere, these people are allowed to vote and reproduce. Now I'd like to add they're allowed to drive!

I don't see the point of them - do they mean 'Don't drive like an idiot around me because there's a baby in this car'? If one crashes and the emergency services can't find a baby (because there wasn't one in the car to begin with) what then?

Totally agree, David!

Plus the fact the morons displaying these stickers usually drive about a foot off your rear bumper!

BTW whoot, I like the "Baby I'm Bored" sticker Winking

Well, I'd like to think that having a child on board sticker on my rear window would help stop people tailgating me on the motorway.
When you have kids you will do even the slightest thing that may stop them coming to any harm so even if it keeps one car further back it's worth using one.

Some people have got nothing better to do than moan at trivial things

I certainly don't think they're intended to be a warning to others.
I think they are 100% an attempt to excuse unnecessarily cautious driving.
No need to drive like you're carrying nitroglycerin.
Just drive normally. Confused

The actual point of these (to start with at least) was to alert the emergency services to the fact that there could be a baby in the car should it be involved in an accident.

But i bet very few people actually removed / replaced it based on the child actually being in the car instead opting for the lazy continual displaying of said notice

For the record, I dont really give a s*** about these sorts of signs. I mean for one I;d like to think we are all driving around paying more attention to the what the car is doing and/or pedestrians and potential hazards etc rather than reading whatever is stuck in the window of the car infront

It doesn't make me drive unneccessarily cautiously....but I do drive more cautiously with my daughter in the car.

And you don't need to 'read' the sign, just noticing the yellow & black in a rear window should make you aware.

After all, you don't need to read 'POLICE' on the car to know it is a police car do you....you just 'know' in the same way that if you see a pink sign in a rear window you know it will hilariously say 'babe on board'
