You may notice a theme with my posts Tongue

I pretty much have ideas for all in my family for presents except my mum - to be honest I struggle most years with ideas for her. My old man has tons of hobbies and whims but the old dear only real hobby is looking after the old man...

She's 55 and likes family stuff and seeing friends.

Any ideas? £30-40 is ideal spend for her...

Has she got a digital photo frame? I've helped several people pre-load them with loads of old family photos so all the reciprient has to do on Xmas day is open the box and plug it in.

Can't go wrong.

I gave up on Christmas a few years ago,I stopped being a Argos bitch and just put money in a envelope with a card, let people buy what they want when they want. Happy

Whoot - problem is my mum's local Spar changed to a One Stop last year - so no joy there... Winking

Did her a printed photo-album last year and digital frame a couple of years before that...all photo'ed out.

I'm still thinking.

You lucky bugger just struggling with your Mums present. Every year I have the same problem for both parents at Xmas & birthday time. Both don't do much, don't drink, don't smoke it's a nightmare!!
Birthdays now I take them out for a meal - I get fed! thinking this year doing the National Trust membership for them.

May sound naff but my mother loved it few years ago. Got her a nice vase and then had flowers delivered few days later.

Sorted that Christmas and the next b'day Winking

How about a magazine subscription? If it was something like a cooking one could get her a few new utensils to use aswell.

Does she clothes shop? Could do a personal shopper session - think JL and Debenhams do them.

Could take her out for the day in a 'mystery trip' kinda thing. Just give her some clues and a train ticket/map as to where you are going
