Let`s share our good news!

Since Ella's somewhat depressing thread where we all exchanged our bad news, or so it seemed, I thought we ought to lift each other's spirits with any good news that we have!

It can't all be bad, surely?

Plus it's so bloody quiet round here, it's like visiting a graveyard sometimes! Come on, let's have a chat. Happy

I'll start us off. My 13 year old lad is progressing well at Homewood Secondary School. He is now in year 8, and we have to select his GCSE options after Christmas. He's in the top 5% of his year academically and regularly gets congratulatory letters from the Head Teacher commending him for his consistent high grades. Also he is now going out with his first girlfriend, and I'm so proud to see him blossoming into a responsible young man.

Who else?

Ooh, Need for Speed Shift - I'll be getting that at somepoint after the PS3 has been set up (family christmas pressie!)

Everyone keeps telling me I've lost some weight, but I don't know so much. Have been reluctant to weigh myself for a while as clothes are tight but have just bought Wii Fit Plus, so might get active again soon! Winking

My oldest daughter has just started at Grammar School, having been head of house for the last year at her previous school; finishing the year by winning the form prize. She is the charity rep for her class and for Christmas she wants a donation made in her name to GOSH. (Same as last year)

The youngest daughter ( 8 ). Finished the last school year by winning the form prize for the second consecutive year. She has a reading age of 11+, and is top of year at Maths.

They both have keen, inquiring minds, and a very proud daddy.
