Apparently it's an unfinished novel he tried to write twice back in the 80s, also it's going to be his longest novel since IT, clocking in at a whopping 900 pages.

I have endured enough of his mega-long novels.
Is this one being published? I thought he had converted to only putting them online, or am I confusing him with another author?

I'm thinking The Simpsons Movie, but if he had the idea first...

No it's being published.
The original version of The Stand was 734 pages, the extended version was 1007.
Under the Dome is his largest novel since IT, which was 1104 pages (re-edited original post).

ah yeh, I remember now.
I was thinking of when he got to the outer bit on the boat and just seeemed to think it was dome shaped (which I guess it could have been)
why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive
