The MMR jab has not caused an increase in Autism.

here's the link. The gist of the report is that out of a survey of over 7,000 subjects, it was found that 1 in 100 children suffered from autism, just as 1 in100 adults. Since the MMR vaccine has only been available since 1990, if it WAS responsible for a rise in Autism, then the number of children suffering from Autism would be significantly higher.

Couple this with the fact the original paper published in The Lancet by Andrew Wakefield has looooong been discredited, hopefully it'll mean more parents won't be scared of giving their children the inoculations. Also hopefully it'll stop airheads like Jenny Bloody McCarthy spouting her uninformed bollocks and putting lives at risk.

Its about time that a decent bit of research was annouced regarding this. I was fortunate to be able to speak to research midwives when it came to the MMR for my son but the likes of the sun etal gave a crappy very limited so called peice of research national attention.

Trouble is the damage is done now, it's like Omega 3, people still think that buying products labelled as having the stuff makes any difference, despite being discredited.

Most people don't go by the scientific evidence, and are easily manipulated unfortunately.

Look at how many still read horoscopes. Confused

I saw this in the article too, but my sister had the MMR and she was born in 1984. Still, if it had had any effect at all on the level of Autism there'd have had to have been *loads* of people affected in the late 80s to have made the adult and child rate both 1 in 100 now!

I don't think the anti-vaccine lot will ever change their minds. I'm sure there were plenty of anti-vaccine people around before the fake controversy over the MMR.

Aint letting any of my family including mysrelf get anywhere near jags by this untrustworthy goverment.

I did not let my 13 yaer old daughter get that teenager jab, and the pressure was intense by teachers to get it. Stuff them all.

And that includes the swine flue jab, as all they want to do is kill you and end the surplus population Angry

Conspiricy sites state the Swine flue jab will be a three parter to kill you slowly, so others will get the jab to late to realise.

I might not agree with all that, but I do know the goverment is good at dictating policy, and giving us cr@p, and that includes whats in these jabs.

No god forsaken goverment official will get near my family with a needle or they will get the wrong end of a diggery doo.
