Haha...this reminds me of a few years ago when the missus and I moved in together. I only had a crappy 4:3 Bush CRT and kept saying to the wife we need an LCD TV. I was always greeted with the answer 'but we have a TV why do we need another one??'.

All of a sudden...out of nowhere one day...she asked me if I still wanted an LCD TV and that she would pay!! We went out that very same day and purchased a 32" Hitachi LCD.

Wives huh? They can be great when they want!! Grinning

Or the inevitable next few conversation lines from the missus...
"My Mum is coming to stay for some time"
"Me and the girls are going on holiday for a few weeks"

Or that other classic....
"I wanna baby" Grinning Grinning

My first thought after reading the first post was

"what has she bought for herself that she needed to find something that would distract him enough (the tele) so that he wouldnt notice"

Fingers crossed the shoe shopping trip trip was it for you my man!!!
