In an effort to get the postings up a bit you can all add whatever really gets up your nose today (unless it's Cocaine).

Edited records on most Pop Stations.
Not necessarily the directly the fault of the broadcasters though they set the tone for what will be broadcast and what wont.
I am sick to the back teeth of hearing unwanted pauses bleeps and word substitutions for even the most mundane of supposed swear words.

Nickelbacks song Rockstar. Not the most wonderful tune ever played but if your listening to most stations it was played endlessly. Practically every other word substituted or left out, even "Drug Dealer" FFS.

Pink in Get the Party Started has to sing "kissing my hand" instead of Ass but Dame Shirley Bassey can use the naughty word in her version.

Many other records it's done to and it seriously p*sses me off. Most times anyone over the age of 5 knows perfectly well what should be in there but it's going to corrupt the morals of the nation if we're allowed to hear it.

So Mr Station Manager, Stop doing it! Before I lob the bloody radio through your front window.

I hate that song because of the DFS sofa advert.
You know, where they've invited members of amateur dramatic clubs to come off the street and dance to the tune.
Intensely annoying, I'd gladly read of the blonde haired woman meeting an unfortunate end in particular.

Not Nickelback's fault, but I'm sure I'd still take them to task over it, if I met them. Grinning

Is there any decent Nickelback tunes? The 3 or 4 i've heard are rubbish.

They're a decent band and great live, the stuff you hear on the radio is quite different to their albums as a whole. Mainly based on sex and sexism. So from the latest album you hear stuff like "Gotta be somebody", whereas the first track on the album has the chorus of "you look so much cuter with something in your mouth" which sets the tone for the rest of the tracks.

Regarding the sofa ad, it did prompt what I'm sure will be the only ever occasion of a crowd of several thousand chanting "DFS" when I went to see them end of last year...

Old issue. Obsession with mobiles - especially when driving..

I had to go driving for work the other day and narrowly missed a lady swerving across 2 lanes of motorway traffic because she wasn't concentrating on when her exit was approaching. This manoeuvre was acheived one-handed with the other holding a mobile to her ear. Angry I'm sure that telephone call is far more important than the lives of the other drivers and their families who happen to be on the same stretch of road at the time.

Selfish selfish selfish.

Seriously, how mush does a hands-free kit cost? Most mobile come with free hands-free kits now don't they?

I use the most cost effective and safe method.. I turn my mobile off when driving. Easy. It's the little button that looks like a circle with a vertical line inside.. Don't worry - your precious mobile that never leaves your hand will switch back on again.. Honest.

Unless there's a helluva lot of Germans on our roads then I don't think it's limited to them...

Kiss my BMW butt. Winking

I'm going to have to rant about something I've ranted about before, sorry.
People who cut right hand bends.
Every bloody morning, I'm faced with people well over my side of the road.
They then have the cheek to be 'surprised' when I don't move and they have to swerve back the way.

Let's be inclusive here. If we're going to slag off drivers lets not forget the little old couple in the Rover, where you can only see the top of a plastic rain hat and a trilby, pootling along at 15mph in the middle of the road oblivious to everything.
