our canary, Gordon.

Filled his water bowl up last night, he decided to take a bath in it, got stuck (fat little thing he was) and drowned...

R.I.P Gordon.

We've told our 3 year old he flew back to the pet shop - and luckily, we've found a near identical replacement. He's just a bit slimmer - but of course, he would be, he's just flown 20 miles!!

Just realised I don't mean Turner Prize at all. Can't remember the name of it though...
D'oh...

Anyone know the name of the prize awarded for tragically funny endings...?

That's what I was after, cheers.

And may I apologise to my late canary for wrongly giving him a prize for creating a really bad work of art.

Thus proving (my age) & the lyric "Gordon is a moron!"

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you’ve noticed.) You don’t normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

When fishermen catch dolphin-friendly tuna, how do they know which tuna are being friendly to dolphins?

You probably won't believe this. Christ, even I'm struggling at the hilarity of it all.

Our rabbit died today too. Explaining 2 seperate deaths to a 3 year old in one day... well... it's difficult!!!

RIP Itchy or Scratchy- I never could remember your name...big decision whether to get a new set of brothers as they might still be here after No1 son leaves home.

I think that you'd probably stand a good chance of winning the Turner Prize if you entered a birdcage containing a dead canary stuck in a bowl of water!

BTW you might want to drink bottled water from now on - better to be safe than sorry!
