UKTV Gold 2 used to be on channel 111, but for some strange reason it's now called Dave, but it's still showing the same repeated s***!

UKTV Bright Ideas (Chan 19) on freeview has been replaced by Dave
Have to say, I do watch UKG2, (Now renamed Dave) because they show stuff like QI & Never Mind The Buzzcocks, so even though i don't use freeview much, I’m happy that they have replaced UKTV Bright Ideas, a channel i never watched in the past

Because they're repeated a billion times on various channels, and it's usually the same episodes.

So watch something else Confused

Glad it's not just me that thought it was a bit odd.
I thought either it was one of Skys engineers having a laugh or someone had won a comp to have a channel named after him for a week.

I thought it was only called "Dave" or even "Dave +1" after 9pm? or did i misinterpret the advert's for it and it was saying it would change to Dave at 9pm and never change back to UKTVG2

Dont see what the problem is though, its still UKTVG2 showing the same programmes just under a different name - as far as i can tell anyways

You've got to admit, "Dave" is a lot easier to say and remember than "UKTVG2", isn't it!

I think it's a stroke of genius. After all, there are probably threads like this popping up all over the internet. And you can bet your life that viewing figures will increase as a result!

Competent

My freeview box seems to be playing tricks on me. Channel 12 is 'Dave' (used to be UKtv History) and channel 19 is now a much reduced UKtv History (8am til 6 pm). Is it me?
