Would anyone like to see Ask Westy reborn??

Hello all,

Yes, i am still alive Happy

I have been toying for months with the idea of bringing Ask Westy back from the grave. Numerous problems and basically a shift in my way of life meant Ask Westy was put to bed by RJS a while ago now. However a nostalgic viewing on the internet archive a few months ago made me think.

I know people read it so i'm not going to fish for compliments or any sympathy/pats on the back here, i would just love to know that if i was to make a go of it again - perhaps on my own domain - would people have a look?

I used to love doing it, and would love to re-invent, possibly with a more general approach to things too, (the weeks news, a blog etc), so chip in if need be and let an old visitor decide his fate!!

Nice to still see the old faces round here - how are we all???

Love Westy

Hi Dave, always a pleasure to see you back. I'm sure folks round here would like to see Ask Westy back, but the site's moved away from having columns. Blogs have been mooted from time to time, but I think we got to a point where lack of fresh content made the columns reflect badly on the rest of the site.

I miss doing my column... er writing my column (in case anybody thinks that was a euphemism). Confused

give it a go, see if it gets people's interest again, or ends up like the chat, i.e. a really good idea on paper, but not used in real life!

it's funny though looking back on

Companies that have p**sed me off so much that I will never use them again and I hope you dont either....
Jacks Fish & Chips of Cambridge[B] ridiculously overpriced and overpackaged chips. £1.20 for a stupidly small portion of chips - they need to go up north for a good lesson in fish and chips
[B]Alloy Bodies of Manchester
- The Grand Daddy & Benchmark for shockingly poor customer service.
Capital Bank Leasing who are part of BOS & are f**ing useless & struggle to action the smallest request but are fantastically efficient at taking money out of my account
Abbey National Absolutely diabolical service - how hard is it to change £60 of coins into notes????
....more coming soon no doubt.....
