Windows Vista Adviser Test

I know this should be in the PC Forums (and it is) but I am gonna overstep the mark as this might be important for those that are thinking of "upgrading" to Windows Vista.
I might be best to see what will and won't work on your PC with this Vista Adviser.
I tried it. I won't be getting Vista as most of my computer will have to change video cards and on and on. No way!
So saved my money there. Quite content with XP anyway.
Point to note that when doing this test you have to allow two things through the firewall (why?) and the Vista Upgrade Adviser permission requires both Server and Client (in Sygate). Wasn't too happy about that.
Handy to know anyway, and that M$ kindly let me know not to buy their new product.

Just ran the test (thanks Bats Happy ) and my computer can run it. Mind you, I did expect it to cos this is a new machine and I made sure the components were meaty enough. Actually, I signed up for a 'free' upgrade to Vista when I bought the machine but still haven't decided whether it's worth going for it - not sounding terribly promising.

I was 'advised' that elements of Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 may not work!
