Ask to be disconnected on 8th February - they disconnected me on the 8th January!
TVDrive supposed to be picked up by them on 19th February - they tried to pick it up today (19th Jan).
Had to speak to about half a dozen customer "services" people before I could even get close to being reconnected.
Spoke to 2 people about the TVDrive and they still can't get a pick up organised.
Is it just me?
Rant over.
Either they're getting so many cancellations, they're used to collecting kit and didn't notice it was a month early, or they are so oversubscribed they are desperate to get your TV Drive back to rent out to some other poor sod.
Why did you cancel?

Why don't you come up and see me sometime? www.digitalvideoforum.co.uk
Cancelled cos I'm moving - although I did notice their prices are increasing again, yet their new customer deals seem to be getting better.
It's not just you. I've been with Teleworst for years, and for the first couple of years I seemed to be calling for an engineer on a weekly basis, staying in on the day, then when he didn't turn up by six o'clock phoning 151 only to be told the tech visit had been cancelled as it was a "network problem". I finally gave up calling. I lived with the crap picture quality, the dropped frames, the inactive interactive and the occasional deafening budgie chirp as the sound went west (Tele), because every time I tried to figure out a return deal to BT and Sky, it always seemed more expensive than sticking with TW.
I've always been happy with the phone service and Broadband, and I've always been convinced that potentially the cable service should be better than its satellite equivalent.
Last week, they killed my Telewest Pace STB with a firmware upgrade. I had one of the first-generation Pace boxes, and (as the engineer finally admitted) it was like trying to run Windows Vista on a Sinclair Spectrum. It crashed and burned. It took twelve days and two tech visits to finally wring a new Explorer STB out of them. I phoned to ask if it might be worth my while upgrading to the TV Drive and they responded with an offer to install the TV Drive for a bargain £75 plus £10 per month (an enormous f*ck all off).
Richard Branson is going to regret buying into these monkeys as they will destroy the Virgin brand.
