Just watching Lost world on ITV, and it's the scene where all the ingen guys are chasing the dinosaurs on bikes and jeeps. Right at the end there's the bit where a couple of the guys have ropes around a bipedal dinosaur's neck (Can't remember the name, Postlethwaite called it Elvis). The dinosaur swings a couple of the men around, and normally, it's then brought down forcefully by about 4 men. ITV, however, have seen fit to cut out the last bit.
Now, I understand that there might be some concern that small children might get upset at the sight of the dino getting treated roughly, but many things should be taken into account.
[*]The Ingen guys are the baddies, witnessing this rough treatment just reinforces the group character.
[*]It's not a real animal. It's just CGI.
[*]The scene hasn't been shown yet, but you can bet the bit where poor eddie gets ripped in half by the T-rex's doesn't get cut (It wasn't last time)
[*]It's a PG movie being shown in the early evening
I'm all for protecting kids from things they shouldn't see, but if they wanted to be effective, maybe they should cut out every scene with Malcolm's daughter who can't act for crap.
But seriously, in this film you're going to see a guy being eaten in San Diego (Look in imdb under 'unlucky bastard'), as well as a dog. Then there's the guy getting stomped on by a t-rex. I'm just confused as to why they deemed that scene cut-worthy

Quite possibly the most stupid piece of editing-by ITV I've ever seen
No it's not!
I've just watched the Railway Children (1972 version) and they edited out four scenes that I can remember. What the hell is wrong with them?!
Jurassic Park 3 isn't faring much better. I've become so enraged I've had to put my dvd of the film on...

i watched the 1st one a couple of days ago and the bit when the lawyer was eaten when on the toilet was cut from that one as well.bizarre how they operate isnt it
I'm sure I noticed a bit edited out of Big today on BBC1. When Tom Hanks receives his first paycheck there's some dialogue between him and the guy in the cubicle next to him, but that was trimmed right out.
