Those quiches, pasties, pies, etc that you get in the supermarket and are in the fridge bit. Can you eat them straight away, or do they have to be heated as per instructions on label?
The label says "can be eaten hot or cold", then promptly tells you to heat them.
In brief, are they safe out of Tesco's fridge to down at lunch without heating?
Daft, I know, but always avoided them lest I get food poisoning.

They're perfectly safe to eat cold - just somewhat unpleasant, like downing a tin of cold baked beans. Still, if you're that hungry...

Ginsters always give me gut ache (cooked or not).
I prefer Ivor Dewdney's pasties myself. 
I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

Because of the nature of a quiche (it's a savoury custard), it has to be cooked otherwise it'd run out of the box if you tipped it up 
They're absolutely safe to eat cold out of the box, but I find they're nicer if you cook 'em for the alloted time and let them go cold again - brings out the flavour. ASDA do a smashing chicken and mushroom one.
And to hell with Bruce Fierstein and his "real men don't eat quiche" bollocks. Real men don't throw a sissy fit about what they're having for dinner. Only toddlers get bent out of shape about that topic.
To think Fierstein got his Bond scripts gig on the back of that article! Pfft!

Guess that depends on who made it. My brother-in-law makes a quiche that is almost 6 inches deep and filled with bacon. Not for wimps, I can assure you...

What's wrong with you lot - you've got a thread about Quiche - I've gone to hell!! I just know it.

Sometimes, with some pies and especially Quiches "Hot or Cold " means Hot or Cold AFTER they have been cooked once. Cold meaning therefore when a cooked meal has cooled!
