Anyone remember THE ANIMAL OLYMPICS?

Mostly Harmless

This has been driving me mad for the last 14 years or so, but does anyone remember a cartoon film showed back in the eighties called 'The Animal Olympics' (or at least that's what I think it was called)

It was about (as if you hadn't already guessed) animals competing in the Olymipics and was about an hour long. What I can remember the most is a kangeroo boxer, a bore skier, a turtle commentator and a lion and a leopard long distance runners falling in love.

I have looked everywhere for it since but to no avail. PLEASE help me out.

Being a sad old git, I can tell you it was called the Laffalympics (I think thats how you spelt it). Hanna Barbera characters in it if I recall correctly... oh they were the days !!!!!

I definately remember this film (it was called Animalympics) especially the goat and the leopard falling in lurve...... (I am indeed a sad person!)

I think you will have trouble finding it, as no-one I know has seen this film.

Let me know how you get on.

Oh yeah, I forgot... it was a goat not a lion, cheers hongkong_uk, that could've got embarrassing!

I'm just glad it was actually real and not me having a wierd imagination as a child, I'm sure that's some form of incest in the animal kingdom!

ATTENTION ANIMALYMPIC FANS...

...I'VE FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!! RESULT!

I can't believe that all this time it has been available from Amazon (and at only £8.99) No wonder I couldn't find the bloody thing, though, if I couldn't even get the title right!
I also found some interesting sites through Lycos by just entering the title.

Anyway, I appreciate everyone's help to resolve my long, admittedly sad, quest... I thank you.

Competent

Nothing wrong with a little pet faves from the past. But entering ANIMALYMPIC into a search engine is looking for trouble. Poor chickens...
