General Forum - Please Help warranty on imported cars - Page 1

I bought an imported vauxhall astra convertible and was told i had 12 months manufacturers warranty. On checking with Vauxhall customer services they say the car has been imported from Gibralter and is therefore from outwith the eu. I therefore get no warranty. I have tried complaining to the importer who will not answer my e-mails and yet says it does have a 12 month warranty. The car was afterall built in Germany and only had its pdi in Gibralter--it was there less than 24 hours. What can/should i do?
