Right you may have seen the plot hole for BTTF but are there any more major plot holes in films that affect their whole story line making it impossible for the story to happen?

discuss!

eg. Stargate - was'nt the gate held inside a different mountain in the movie than the TV series but it never tells you that the gate was transferred
hmmm

strange

Don't think it was a different mountain. (quickly watches video) Ah, yes it is.

They probably thought One tunnel in a mountainside looks like any other.

OK, here's a current biggie.

In Harry potter (ah, stop groaning) TPS, we see the sorting ceremony where Susan Bones (Played by Elanor Columbus, Chris' daughter) being put into Hufflepuff with some relish by Leslie Phillips.

However, in Chamber of secrets, Elanor can be seen in the herbology class and DADA (defence against the dark arts). Unfortunately, there seems to be a proliferation of Slytherins attending the same class with the Gryffindors. The class size isn't big enough to hold 3 houses, and I don't remember pupils switching houses in the book.

Nepotism anyone?

Going on from Bears comment on Jurassic Park ----->

In JP2:The Lost World, what the hell managed to kill absolutely everybody on the cargo ship. Can't of been the T-Rex or infant because they were locked inside. Did they break out, kill everyone and then lock themselves in again?

If it was the Adult, how the hell did he get his head into that tiny cabin?

(the 2nd island was always there as a research facility (it was explained in the book) "Just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it isn't there" - Small Soldiers)

In Jurassic Park, the arrival of the T-Rex is heralded by a vibration that would have gone off the top of the richter scale - yet he manages to sneak up on the 'raptors to save the day at the end of the film. Hmmm

And another one (more character assasination than plot hole) - in 'The World Is Not Enough', Pierce and Sophie get down to it on the bed, knocking over the champagne bucket as they start. Next, the film cuts to the ice cubes on the floor before panning round to 'afterglow' shot. If James Bond is such a good lover, how come he finished before the ice melted... Happy

Anything with time travel. Terminator being the most obvious example as John Connor could never have existed.

Minority Report because the Cruiser could not have been predicted as a murderer because the chain of events to lead him to his potential victim could not have been reached if there were no precogs. The precogs predict murders not create them.

Jurassic park's my favourite - because they even got the author to "forget" that he'd killed off two of the key characters at the end of the first book, so that they could have them in the second film!

In lord of the Rings, that big eagle that gets Gandalf from the top of Isengard - why doesn't he pick frodo up and drop him off at mount doom?
