cheap printer II

Competent

Stll do not have one just more questions.

I have found out that my USB ports are 'dead' and as a result my cheap printer now has to be a parallel one. The only one I can find is an Epson C20, which comes in at £62. I may point out that the only printers I know are Epson so I am assuming there are cheaper one's out there.
Anyway my query concerns the mighty E-bay. There are a couple of Epson 640's (my old printer) on the go at the moment but as my only feedback regarding E-bay is 'Damn you E-bay' from Homer Simpson I am a bit iffy about buying/ bidding for anything from there. Is it kosher?, anybody had any real bother?or am I better shelling out for a spanky new one with whatever guarantee this brings.
Any comments would be helpful

cheers

Competent

Epson C42 UX can be had from most places for £59.99 and on the Currys or cComet site (can't remember which) for £49.99 delivery included.

USB and Parallel connections.
