Am I the only one who thinks Paul Burrell.....

...looks like the type of guy who'd wear Princess Diana's dresses?

There is something rather 'strange' about him, he gives me the creeps.

The whole thing reminds me of Psycho for some reason.

I feel sorry for his wife having to put up with his "weirdness".

And whats wrong with wearing Princess Diana's dresses? Happy Okay, apart from the fact she is dead...

He very much comes from the world of the Royals, where one is so important one does not obey the same laws as the rest of us. Convenient how he and the Queen had this conversation, which ended the whole matter the moment it came to light, yet it never occured to him or the Queen to bring it up beforehand?

Judging someone by the way they look is the oldest form of racism.

Paul Burrell didn't mention the conversation he had with the queen, as he was protecting the Queen's Privacy. His Job.

The Queen didn't mention anything beforehand and she had not been properly briefed by the Palace's legal staff. When she found out what exactly the details of the case were, she immediately intervened, completely exonerating Mr Burrell of any wrongdoing whatsoever.

He looks really chunky though - would he even *fit* in her dresses?

"Judging someone by the way they look is the oldest form of racism" --what a load of cr*p.

Why is everyone branded a rascist just because they say something slightly non-PC?

I am terribly sorry, but I come from a generation before PC took it's ugly strangle-hold on this society and stiffled reasonable debate.

I just think he's strange. Let's be honest, he was only a butler for God's sake.

I doubt whether he was privy to anything, do you think the Royals would let a "butler" know anything important?

He has to perpetuate this myth of self-importance so he can make loads of dosh on the after-dinner circuit.

I think bearing in mind how long this case has been going on, she must be enclosed in some protective bubble from the world, never having seen a single newspaper for months and months. Happy

And as for him protecting the Queen's privacy, and that being his job, firstly he had a job afaik, and secondly his duty was to Diana. Apparently he was disliked to some degree by parties close to the Queen who saw him as an aly to Di.

Oh and that'll be the oldest form of prejudice, not racism, btw. Happy

He does look a bit odd, but hey, so do plenty of other people I can think of! (The entire Arsenal squad being several)

Here's a thought - as the Crown Prosecution Service deliberately mislead the court, does that mean they now have to take themselves to court on perjury charges?

The Queen has done a deal to get back the paperwork that proves harry is a Hewit not a Winsor.

All the best,

The 42%er.

Yes, you're right, sorry. Racism was the wrong word. I apologise.

Doesn't anybody thinks its a bit strange that supposedly Paul Burrel had a chat with the Queen and told her that he was keeping some of Diana's things and somehow this is all OK.

Consider the fact that these things belonged NOT to the Queen but to Diana or her estate and as result may be to Charles, William, and Harry etc. So surely he should have been telling Chas and co NOT the Queen. So I would have thought it was still theft, as he did not tell the rightful owners of the objects and may be the Queen is an accompolive in the case !!!

You may well be right about Harry ! And as for Paul Burrell, I think everybody associated with royalty looks a bit strange and lives in another world !!

But heh God Save the Queen and all that ...
