More info and vids here..

I did spot this last week. Initially a bit excited by it, but then remembered my old SwapMagic in the PS2, and how I never really got into any game once I got that, cos I was forever 'acquiring' new ones. Whilst it was nice to have all the latest games at the cost of a blank dvd, it sort of ruined the fun a bit because I never played them properly.

I can't afford to buy games much these days, maybe one or two every couple of months, but I get a lot of enjoyment out of them (except for Naughty Bear - big mistake). And at $170 for one of these chips - I couldn't afford to pirate them anyway!

Handy for homebrew though, if you're into that stuff.

Worldwide stockists sold out of the wee USB controller thingies that get programmed with this code so they'll soon sky rocket from their original £18 to £24.

And the australian case is ongoing.. thats gonna be the landmark in this whole situation.

This is MASSIVE now.
You can hack your PS3 from phones to Texas calculators lol.
Don't think you'll be able to do it with just a USB stick though..  but iPhones, N900, PSP etc all OK.....
Sony are ****ting themselves big time I imagine..

They might suddenly find themselves selling more PS3s. Tongue Though I'm not sure if they currently sell them for a loss still or not, I know the PS2 was at the beginning, but the huge price of the PS3 always made me think they weren't.

You know something I don't?
AFAIK the N900 is a working beta with no GUI but the PSP was was still firmly buried "in development"

I feel sorry for the guys who found and released the said exploit, they probably thought they had it made, set it at a (what seemed to them) decent price and chucked some samples to the supposed trusted modding companies.
One of them sniffed the software and passed it on, next thing you know it's everywhere in multiple formats.

Something tells me there will be something in the wings soon to change this... wouldn't be surprised if Sony blocked the USB ports entirely and only allowed them to operate as charging sockets for the controllers.

And before anyone screams they wouldn't do that.... Other OS from 3.21 forward?
The change to the EULA allowing them to do WTF they like with no prior consent or knowledge from yourself after (I think) fw 3.24?

Anybody tried it yet?

I tried it with the HTC Desire Psfreedom and it loads no problem but not all games work.....

I backed up Soul calibur to internal and external and it plays fine but with Street fighter 4 turbo the PS3 freezes.....maybe needs some patching done?
