yes thats the bit, but as you can see from my picture you cannot fire a portal into the floor, and the two white squares with pictures on are more away than in the video above. that's why i thought there was something wrong with mine/mac version. basically apart from the floor/2 white squares mine is the same.

Do you get the principle though? Can you not just do the same thing but further back?

All you need is any part where the roof and the floor directly below it can have portals, then as you fall through just turn and face the four square before you build up so much speed the shot becomes impossible, and then shoot the type of portal you used for the roof onto it.

i see what you mean, i have been so focused on the panel above the door from watching/reading online that i never thought about anywhere else.

i will give that a go later.

i tried it earlier but still no good, i have watched a few other videos too, but basically there is nowhere i can put port holes directly above and below. is there a way i can take a screen shot as video? that might be the best way to show what i am seeing, i can put it on flickr.

the trouble is the area around the entrance, with the panel coming out above, cannot accept port holes like in yours and every other video i have seen. there was one video i saw which was the only one i have seen that has the floor the same as mine but the video stopped after firing the first portal. cheers

I used fraps on the PC, I have no idea if there is a Mac version, or equivalent.

i have just found a video which seems to be the right thing, i must have missed this as i have watched quite a few



it is a little hard to make out but the area around and underneath the panel that sticks out a little above the doorway, you cannot put a portal, which is why if you watch they go in that room to the left when you go in. i will have to watch again to check how to do it as it doesn't look straightforward. i have just watched the clip again and it is nearly the same as what i am seeing, except i have steps into the room on left this doesn't, it mentions advanced. this is the closest to what i am seeing.

I think I might know what is going on here, I think you are doing the bonus maps where you can do each level in advanced mode, I've never done these, I just presumed it was the odd level (and it was probably added to the game after I completed it with a steam update).

If you play a normal game you will probably get something that matches what I did, and others on youtube.

Until then, I need to go play the bonus advanced versions! And will let you know when I get to level 15 and how I did it!

Had a little play with the advanced levels today, before I got too motion sick to carry on anyway. Did Test Chambers 13 and 14, they were quite easy. Started on 15, the one you were stuck on, and worked it out pretty quickly.

Can fraps it for you if you are still stuck on that, though hopefully by now you have discovered hwo to do the normal levels and enjoyed the wonderful ending.
