portal on the mac

got this a week or so ago, but stuck on level 15 i think it is. i have looked at various walkthrough's and clips on youtube. but there seems to be a problem as the look of the main room is slightly different to what the guides say. i get what i need to do, i have seen a few videos but the look of the floor where you need to drop through isn't the same on the mac.

the game was only a quid and i don't play many games but i would like to carry on with this as it's been really good so far. cheers

thanks.

from what i remember, i haven't played it for a few days as i got fed up!!!!!! basically you put a portal up above when you enter the room and one on the floor and as you go through the floor you fire another into the floor as you are dropping from the portal above. but the problem is on the mac version you cannot fire into the floor but on the P.C. version you can, i was wandering if it is a glitch or something. cheers

You need to upload it somewhere like Flickr or imageshack, some of the other regulars might be better suited to this sort of advice than me!

here is a link to it on flickr, i am sorry if this is the wrong way to show it, i couldn't find any other, despite writing here for years i have never had to include any pictures.

if you look at the picture, a portal has to be put on the bit of wall/panel coming away above the door straight ahead. then place another portal on the floor below, but as you can see the floor there is a dark colour, you cannot put a portal there, i have watched several guides online and the floor is always light grey so you can place a portal, but on mine it is dark.

that seems to be how you do it which made me think there was a problem with the mac version, or there is something i have missed, but i have spent hours in that area and i cannot see another way, short of luck.

cheers

Booting it up, I think I can remember how that one goes just from the screenshot there. I seem to remember something about needing momentum before you shoot the one in the sticking out fouresquare thingy.

I'll get it going and fraps it for you, then slap it on youtube.
