just remember you need a transflash card as well. but they are dead cheap now.

My card has begun locking up now and not loading 
Here's hoping it's a bad MicroSD and not the DSTT.
Will report back later.....
[/edit] Further Report:
Card contents removed, card reformatted, contents returned. Same result.
Removed TT menu files and replaced with older, card working normally! (?)
Still dont think they're clones and they are original but for now, I'll use the older menu stuff.

Apparently the DSTT has suffered a setback with it being shipped with dodgy "eproms" or whatever they use. Been a big hoopla about it on some US sites!
The reason I didnt buy one!

So if I get the same one in the OP (only $6.80 now) that's OK? I don't have a DS and I don't know anything about games at all but I want to get it as a present as it sounds very useful (no idea they existed until reading these threads). I downloaded the firmware from the manufacturer's website, is that the right one to get or do I need an older one?
