Hi all,
The other day i tried to play a HD DVD in my old xbox 360 HD DVD player. It didnt work. I tried most of my films but again it would not play them. Does this mean it will not work at all now or is there some kind of update i can put on disc and get it to work.

Just had a quick look, seems you may need to re-install the drivers, it should have come with an install disk, if you've lost it then as long as you are connected to Xbox live it should automatically download the driver when you plug in the drive.

Nope, not working at all. nothing i put in it will play. I placed the disc that came with it in but no luck. Guess its just defunct now.

I assumed mine was dead when it stopped playing anything in my Elite 360, then when that 360 died i bought a 60gb and HDDvD drive has worked on that no probs ever since. I'm guessing the problem was with my Elite. Try it with another console before completely giving upon it, or if you have a windows 7 pc you could attach it to that as windows should automatically find the drivers for it.

Yeah i have an elite to so that may be the problem. I now know it does play normal DVDs just not any HD ones. I will try it on my laptop to see if it works.
