apparently the dongle will be widely available at the end of august.
retailing at approx $170 (AUS), looks like the manufacturers know
it will only be effective for a short period of time until sony let loose
a firmware update which blocks / kills the exploit.
reading more into it, it would appear that the dongle effectively turns
a retail PS3 into a debug unit and adds the option to archive to hdd / usb.
tbh, i don't see why sony don't follow MS's lead and allow full game installs
(optional obviously) to save wear and tear on the blu-ray drive?
i know some games require mandatory 1 or 2GB installations, but a full installation
of the "actual" game (not all the FMV ****) would be great.
