This could be interesting!

I'd really rather it stayed locked down to be honest.

i'm not fussed either way. if people want to pirate stuff then it's their
prerogative. personally i'm quite happy to pay full price or px for the
games i want.

i used to have a dreamcast with the boot loader disk, got the games
for £3 a pop and would play them for about five minutes. totally devalued
the experience if i'm to be honest.

Not totally hacked (yet) - I'm hoping to find the decryption keys and post them, but they may be embedded in hardware.

Yeah, I found the same with the PS2 and the hard drive I had in that.

Never really played any of the games for more than a day. Now, when I buy a game for the PS3 I tend to get my money's worth out of it (e.g. MW2!)

totaly agree, re= games etc, the only reason i would consider it is if software was made like the old xbox dash (evolution/slayers etc) then the ps3 could probably be made into a pretty amazing media centre but i guess that would depend on how easy it is to program for.
