heh

Snake still "minces" doesn't he? i always questioned his preference, now it's
confirmed in the opening scene when he blends (or bends) in with the statue Grinning

Metal gear solid 4 lots of long fmv!

MGS4 has '90 minute' cut-scenes

yes, 90 min cut scenes, not 90minutes of cut scenes!

Quote:
We know the Metal Gear Solid series is famous for its long cut-scenes, but this tops everything! Metal Gear Solid 4, the latest instalment in Hideo Kojima's seminal stealth series, has cut-scenes (note the plural) that approach the 90 minutes mark

or maybe not

Update: Game journalist Sid Shuman has stated that while MGS4 includes some lengthy cutscenes, none of those cinematics comes close to the 90-minute mark.

"I've completed the game twice, and am the author of the forthcoming [GamePro] review," Shuman told GamePro. "Some of the cut-scenes in the game are elaborate and occasionally lengthy. But not a one, to my recollection, even approaches 90 minutes."

most of the stories I found about the 90min fmv, seem to be reporting on the cvg story, and some do say the original text was vague, could be 90mins of, so we can put this down to typical cvg pinch of salt Winking Don't know why I go there!

Cut scenes ruined all of the other games for me, so I can safely say I won't be buying this.

Hideo is obviously a frustrated film producer.... Why don't they just let him make one and be done with it..

A cursory glance at any random CVG online article (and usually its comments section) shows they can't afford/don't see the need for a sub-editor, so their fact-checking would be dubious at best.

Still, a 90-minute cutscene would be taking the p***, even by Kojima standards. Maybe said playtester didn't realise he'd regained control of the game about an hour or so ago.

Modern games journos do tend to be a little thick, especially if they're American. Where's Jaz Rignall when you need him?

It's 90 mins of cut scenes - not a 90 min cut scene..

playr had a "preview" today. Well, they called it a preview, to me it looked like yet another fmv sequence, no actual gameplay Sad

They said they'd review it next week.

I couldn't buy this even if I wanted to since I dont own a PS3. However, I agree with whats been said before. The previous games were ruined by endless cutscenes and conversations on the rights and wrongs of war, killing the environment etc. I wanted to play a game, not be lectured!

You realise that would be the shortest amount of cutscenes in a metal gear game since the NES?
