Got myself the Ltd Ed Gameboy Advance SP package....

I had no intention of buying another GB Advance but i walked into my Import store yesterday and saw the new version of this displayed in a nice glass case. I had to buy it, this is some bit of kit!

I bought the limited edition version which consisted of....

Pearl White GB Advance SP
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
High gloss Tactics booklet with walkthrough and original artwork.
Squaresoft carrycase
Silver Strap with tags
and a special Tactics card

All in a special box with fine artwork.

The whole package is highly desirable and think it will be worth a few bob.

The light makes a massive difference whether the daytime or at night, and the sound is a little better. The flipper is solid and adjustable.

Final Fantasy tactics is amazing.....beautiful animated 2D graphics with an epic soundtrack....if you have heard the original PS version you will know how good the music was. One of the first scenes you see is 4-5 charactes in a cosy little house....the fire is animated, there is a kettle on the stove bubbling away and there is snow falling from outside the windows, it looks really rich and colourful, a bit like Legend of mana if you have see that.

I thought this was a remake of the PS version but it is a brand new game.....i dont think i would be embarrased now playing this on the bus.

I paid the usual rip-off import price of £200 but i think it will be collectable and hold its price.

Do the import Gameboy Advance SP's play UK games?

Yes, tried it with UK and US games. Final Fantasy Tactics has a new option in it that lets you play the game in original GBA mode, TV mode or GBA SP/GC mode. I think each mode is supposed to enhance your viewing.

Golden Sun looks amazing on this new GBA with the added light.

While never being one for RPG's do you think that the GBA could persuade me? And also do you know what are generally the best games on it? Think I'd prefer one of these to the GP32, its far more straightforward!

I bought the original GBA when it came out along with Mario Kart and MR Driller but i never played it because i could,nt get a good view because the screen was so dark. I new the games were good but i just could,nt enjoy them because of this.

I have snatched a few of my 10 year old nephews games and these are what i am playing at the moment......

Yoshi's Story....Superb
Mario Advance 3....Superb
Puzzle Bobble.....Good
Legend of Zelda....Superb
Golden Sun....Superb

I will need to have a look at whats out at the moment, have,nt been following the GBA.

I was going to buy the GP32 a while back but all the games were in Korean....dont know if they are in English now.

Metroid is very good, as are the 2 Castlevania games. All will really benefit from the light as well.

Advance Wars is still my fav GBA game, pure class. Tactics Ogre isn't bad if you like the sort of thing.
