This Easter Egg applies to the Region 2 of Donnie Darko: Director's Cut

Metrodome’s release of Donnie Darko: Director’s Cut features a hidden video featuring Echo & the Bunnymen performing the song ‘The Killing Moon’ live in Liverpool. To access the egg simply insert disc two of the set and head to the ‘Promos’ menu a. Once there, highlight the entry for the fifth TV spot, then press up on your remote. The cursor should have disappeared. Next, press down on the remote to reveal a hidden symbol in the bottom right hand of the screen. Press enter on your remote to watch the video.

Harmless

for all those using region 4 donnie darko: directors cut it is very simalar in promo's press left on the first directors cut trailer the highlight disappears then press up Frank appears and you press enter to watch it.
