Question: Is Avondene Interactive setting up as a second-hand DVD reseller, or as a licensee distributor?
As influential with the film and television industry as this site is, I'm not sure this is the place to be asking for licensing rights. Or second-hand porn videos.
I'm no legal or business expert, but If I were setting up in business as a licensee distributor, and I wanted to be taken seriously, I'd have done my homework first and identified a small range of titles that a) have BBFC certification and b) are out of print. I would also make sure I had a few hundred thousand in capital to cover initial production costs and possibly having to pay the rights holders up front. I would then approach the rights holders of the titles selected by letter drawn up by my solicitor (or better still a barrister with entertainment law experience) and make them an offer to licence and distribute such-and-such a title for a specific period, and a set percentage of the net sales. Their response would still most likely be to tell me to take a running jump.

Surly it would be cheaper to make your own. You, a camera and a girl. If you are not up for the gonzo style then you need another bloke. I will charge £250 a shoot. This is a genuine offer by the way. Anywhere in the midlands.
