Where do people buy Region 1 DVDs these days?

PlayUSA don't seem to have Avatar for sale, does DVD Box Office.com even exist anymore?

What do people use these days?

I still prefer Region 1 for the lack of PAL speed up...

I used to use DVD Pacific until they changed hands, and they started charging at time of order instead of time of despatch.

I hear that Axel Music is supposed to be good, but I haven't had call to buy any live action R1 DVDs for a while now.

Used Axel a few times but they charge P&P. Always used to use Play & CDWOW - though never touch CDWOW after they failed to deliver some stuff and it took me months to get my money back.

To be honest I rarely buy Region 1 stuff anymore unless it is uncut - usually plump for the BD versions now.

I don't buy DVDs nowadays (or many BDs come to that), but I sometimes use this lot. They're personal importers who pre-pay import duty etc, so customs charges aren't an issue.

Sheesh, I can't remember the last time I bought R1. What with improved release dates and cheaper release prices, I don't seem to need to any more. I used to use all the above mentioned by the way.

Gawd knows who I'd use now. Chris' suggestion looks like a good bet?

I usually get mine from AmazonUK new and used, but that's for the uncut gorefest movies, or that have better extras/art cover than Shameless, or than that ebay.

Wal-Mart.

I use a mixture of DVD Pacific, Amazon marketplace, CD Wow and Play USA, depending where is cheaper and where Customs will come into play.

I miss DVDSoon house, before they went tits up, I bought pretty much all my DVDs from them.

The odd occasions I do buy R1, I always go to Amazon Marketplace these days.  Moviemars or Caiman are about the most reliable sources, and good prices.
