The super secret teaser trailer for JJ Abrams' super secret new film has leaked online...

(not sure how long that will stay live, but the official site is counting down to May 15th, so the trailer might appear officially then).

As an unapologetic JJ zealot, I am really looking forward to this despite not really knowing anything about it Happy

Best train wreck since The Fugitive?

Which reminds me, I'm sure when I saw The Fugitive in the cinema the subwoofer was amazing on the train crash, but at home its rubbish, and it isn't my subwoofer (as Unbreakable, Saving Private Ryan DTS and Blade 2 will all attest). Same for The Abyss at the beginning when the sub crashes and water rushes around.

The explosion and the buckling train looked good - I could imagine it with plenty of transonic rumble (I'm watching with earphones), but it all falls apart with the flying railroad car.  I know I moan about people who complain about being taken out of a movie by CGI, but that gag does it for me with the sequence.  It's not necessarily the action itself, it's the accompanying impossible camera move.

So is this anything to do with Cloverfield?

Between this and The Tree Of Life, I think this summer will be pretty special!

Full theatrical trailer...

Unfortunately the UK release date appears to be August 19th (compared to June 10th in the US), which sucks considerably Sad
