Gareth, is it because it sounds like that alfie guy is talking about you?

Seen it.
Thought it was an OK waste of a couple of hours but nothing super fantastic.

Friend who's into his movies saw it and started off instantly going on about miscast parts, bad character development etc etc.
And he hadn't seen any of the animated series or read up anything about it.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't go out and spend loadsa dosh buying it but it was ok for a couple of hours lounging time.

Absolutely terrible film. Aside from the great score and CGI, there is nothing positive to say about this film. Bad acting, terrible script, awful dialogue, incoherent plotting - it had it all.

It didn't even appear to follow a 3 act film structure, seemingly just throwing random sequences together. I guess the action scenes themselves were well composed and directed, but overall it's a total mess.

I'm currently on the 2nd season of the show, and I can't believe the film got it all so wrong. There's so much great material in it, and the characters themselves are also completely different to what we see on screen. Ang for example, still has a lot of childish qualities and innocence, rather than being a total miserable bastard as he is in the film.

A shame really because had they been able to follow the series, they could have made a really fantastic film.
