Heard a soundbite courtesy of my namesake earlier today with regards to the third instalment. Not verbatim, but here goes;

"It's 20 years on, and the Ghostbusters are no more. After defeating Vigo all supernatural activity has stopped. The new story is going to be about the old gueard passing the baton to a new group of ghostbusters, one of whom will be Oscar Barrett/Venkman. Virtually all of the original cast have said yes"

Dunno why they're bothering really. The film had its time, the sequel was rubbish... Can't they just let it stand?

I blame Most Haunted for this.

While promoting City of Ember, Bill Murray said he'd 'made his peace' with the sequel. His theory for the apparent lack of enthusiasm for the sequel is that the 'Special effects guys got hold of the script first'. Personally I like both movies, but not the cartoons. God they sucked.

The sequel had a lot to live up to. The first one came out of nowhere and is a very, very good film. Like Murray says, they relied a bit too heavily on special effects for the second one. However, if you watch it now; it may not be anywhere near as good as the first, but it is still a good film and a lot better than some of the sheeyite that does well these days.

I think after being turned in to a dog, a bath that tried to attack her, I'd move out of New York!
