Not much to start with, what with them starting to film in September.

Stuart Townsend is on the cast, no idea who he's playing yet.
Joseph Fiennes is there, no doubt playing a young Voldemort/Tom Riddle during the Pensieve scenes

and finally, Playing Narcissa malfoy (meaning the unbreakable vow scene will be in) will be...

Naomi Watts. i'll assume she won't be on the first days' filming call-sheet

After seeing Ootp and reading Deathly Hallows, part of me wants Peter Jackson to film Deathly hallows - thre is something to be said about grandeur and vast expansive sets...

Would love to see his handiwork esp. at the beginning with 7 potters, or at the end - the whole battle of hogwarts!

Pipe dream likely! Sigh!

You sure? Aussie newspaper Courier Mail confirmed Naomi day before - http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,22124731-5012979,00.html

Also...

Lavender Brown casting call: 7000 chicks line up in London. Apparently Ron (grint) will be reading lines and snogging the top 5 hopefuls to decide who gets the part! Winking This is on insistence of Yates...

Pictures on Veritaserum - some of them beg the simple question - "Seriously?"

More from Heyman: Quote:
At the U.S. premiere of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" Sunday, producer David Heyman confirmed the casting of two 11-year-old red-haired children for the next film, "Half-Blood Prince," which is set to begin filming in September. The actors will play minor twin characters who are not culled from JK Rowling's sixth novel.

Location scouts are going around Cape Wrath in Scotland for the cave scene

Others include that location might be moved from Britain to NZ or Ireland...

Interwesting!

Also - HBP trailers (made by fans) already on youtube... and some actually look good! Check them out -

While I applaud those with the time and enthusiasm to create their own trailers, I shaln't be watching them myself. There's only so many times you can see clips from past movies shuffled around to create different contexts. It's when they've actually shot some footage and that gets slipped in is when the interest goes up. I remember there was a fantastic one for GoF that included shots of the previous 3 movies, with some behind the scenes shots from GoF, but its downfall was that it used an illegally downloaded soundtrack (From the Dragon scene) and the RIAA erased all trace of it.

Dan's recently given an interview about the Character of Slughorn, which ended with the statement Slughorn had not yet been cast. I've just read HBP again and I couldn't picture which actor would be ideal for the role. He's gotta be large (in girth), suit a grand moustache, and be the wrong side of 60.

Closest I could come up with was John Savident. Anyone have anyone else in mind that closely matches the criteria?

When I read the book, I pictured him as Richard Griffiths - but that is obviously out of the question. Only other thought - a bit off the wall, but you never know - is Danny DeVito. I guess he'd have to work on the accent, but with the right make-up I reckon he could be a good fit for the role physically.
