Mostly Harmless

I noticed that cd-wow is doing the rules of attraction R3 for £5.99!! this is a bargain in itself, but does anyone know if its cut like the R1 version?

They are the Hong Kong R3 versions so it's hard to find out. These are produced bu the Universe Laser company in Hong Kong. Believe it or not these DVD's retail for between two to three quid in HMV Hong Kong and can vary in quality. They are not legally supposed to be sold out of Hong Kong and are produced cheaply to counter piracy in the territory.

I went nuts whilst I was in Hong Kong last year and bought quite a few of these. I had mixed experiences. Got the likes of Monsters Ball, The Others and The Man Who Wasn't there, all very high quality, however Very Bad Things, Play It To The Bone and Deep Rising were very bad transfers.

At the end of the day, it's only £5.99 so just buy it and find out.

This is a FANTASTIC film... but not to everyone's taste.. i guess it depends on your age.. basically it takes Easton's hatred of the 80s and transposes it into the 00s.. so what you get is a college film with characters and plot that draw on the me..me..me. ideals of the 80s.. it's distasteful, sickening and very very funny.. Roger Avery has created a fantastic looking film also.. the use of split screen and reverse images and music works superbly...

oh.. and its worth it to see Jason Van Der Beek ruin his Dawson image...

FILM MAKING at its "rawest" and best
