you have a postman who shakes your dvd's off the centre clip holder in their case so that they are all scratched and marked.

Anyone have any other gripes?

How about when the postie takes extra good care of it by taking it home and keeping it. Never happened to me, but I've heard others complain.

I've noticed them come of the clip a few times, but hasn't caused any viewing problems. How about if the postie/sorter bangs it around so the case is smashed, only happened to me once. I wasn't annoyed, because it was a one-off... at the moment.

Mail order is a pain when... retailers pack something very small in a ridiculously over-sized package that won't fit through my letter box, meaning the postie has to leave a card, meaning I have to go to the sorting office in the morning, meaning I have to leaver earlier and then take two buses, meaning I freeze my proverbials off waiting for the second bus after being served by the grumpiest Royal Mail employee ever at the sorting office.

Apart from that, it's still preferable to being elbowed to death by denture-clicking pensioners in the street Happy

I have to get up early to fit in a visit to the sorting office, since most of mine come from ddhouse who send them registered, and I suspect my postie hides round the corner waiting till I go out.

You are STILL waiting for a disk to arrive 5 months after you ordered it. Thank you DVDSoon. Also when you have ordered discs on the QT from the wife, don't hear the postie and the first you know they have arrived is when they are being thrown at you!!

Harmless

after 6 times of telling the postman he can leave the package around the back of the house, he still puts the note through the letterbox telling me its too big to fit through it. So i have to go down the depot. 7am he comes. I caught the bugger up 3 times though last week.

My postman must have a very good DVD collection judging by the amount that goes missing. Funny thing is the majority of them are from Play.com who very wisely actually put on the label the content is a dvd and a price.

Well done.

Complained to my local sorting offfice and even postwatch, the regualtory body yet another has just gone missing, again from Play.com.

I have ordered mucho plenty of DVD's from Play.com and only 1 has not arrived which was replaced by them with no quibbles. As for DVD's arriving scratched and flopping about in the case...it's either a crap clip in the centre or it was not fitted correctly in the first place. Either way you should inform your supplier by email and demand an exchange.
