meatswoo - it's a digital radio, so it will pick up digital radio channels, not movies. Nothing to do with the internet, just uses your PC/speakers to process and amplify the received signal.
Tried again to order tonight with an alternative e-mail address and SUCCESS! Thanks again for details of this offer. Now just have to be patient and wait for it to arrive.
Richard, you're quite right of course, it does not give you movies. I think the confusion with some people is that it does provide some graphical content. For example, when listening to financial information on Bloomberg a 'ticker-tape' style graphic provides share prices etc. Roger.
I received my Wavefinder today and its a bit dissapointing. I run Win XP and I get a constant stuttering and repeat cycling of the signal. It clearly doesn't work very well with XP even though it says it should on Psion's website. I think I'll be sending it back to Psion ! I checked the forums and they recommend installing the Win 2000 USB drivers but its difficult to get hold of them from anywhere.
meatswoo, I had mine yesterday and I set it up last night, after getting home from work (my wife took one look at it and said "What the hell is that?", but she was well impressed once it was set up). I must admit mine works perfectly, but then I am using Windows 98. I hope you can get it to work as the improvement in sound quality over analogue is amazing. I'm probably in a strong signal area, but the ability to listen to channels like JazzFM and instantly record them is fantastic! If it works on your system it's a top-notch product at £39.99. Roger

Hi Roger,
I did a bit of sniffing around the support forum on the Psion homepage and found it the Wavefinder doesn't work well with the Windows XP USB drivers. There is however a workaround for this which involves replacing the Win XP USB drivers with the Win 2000 ones and then it works a treat. Someone also kindly posted the instructions on how to do this on the form too !
I now have it working and I agree its pretty good. Next question is how do you eliminate the DJ's voice from the recordings so you get just music ?
Mark.
For those of you who need W2K drivers, you can download them here: http://simans.worldonline.co.uk/windab. There is also a techinical support forum specifically for wavefinders here: http://213.38.235.185/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro&BypassCookie=true
Hope this of use to someone

Mark, your best bet to remove sections of the recording/s is to convert the files to WAV format and load into a sample editing program such as Soundforge, then you can just remove bits. However it might just be easier to skip the DJ bits as it is Digital. Still it's great fun for small money! Roger
i just saw this on ebay:

I CANNOT believe someone would try and SELL the discount code for these things!!!!! LOL!!!!!
Unbelievable. Talk about money for old rope. I notice nobody has bought the code for £4.00. Rip off merchants.
